DAY OF THE DEAD

this is a mural i made during a 3 week intensive sheet glass summer class. the background is done with oils. it's about 2 x 3.5 maybe? i never got a decent picture of it displayed before someone knocked it off the wall and it shattered. only this crappy picture i took the second after finnishing it.

attempt number one

This is a casting of a sprocket made by voice, my friend chopper's company.
There was an issue with the first mold, which cause a pretty sloppy outcome. The teeth didn't quite make it. I thought i could fix it in the cold shop, but so far no dice.
So i plan to soon remake the silicone mold and start with a fresh wax.

bittersweet

first test strip from a 3 week intensive sheet glass class. this was more cute after i first made it. then my drunk roommate knocked it over and broke it and i had to re-fire it. it now has a crack in the middle and the layers are more flat.
